The Brooks World Poverty Institute (BWPI) at The University of Manchester is an international centre of excellence. Established to create and share knowledge, our ambitious vision is to help end poverty, and to shape policies that deliver tangible results for people living in poverty.
Rarely does research have the potential to create such impact. Working towards one common goal, we bring together anthropologists, economists, human geographers, political scientists, sociologists, architects and planners to take significant strides towards eradicating poverty.
